Plus connu comme le batteur maniaque du groupe garage-psych Strange Cages, et plus récemment de Jealous Nostril, ELLiS-D a passé dix ans à agiter ses membres sur les kits en lambeaux de la scène des sous-sols britanniques et européens avant de lancer son projet solo en 2021. Après avoir signé avec le label DIY Crafting Room Recordings au tournant de l'année 2022, les 15 mois qui ont suivi l'ont vu dans un état de concerts et de tournées presque constants à travers les endroits moites du continent, apportant sa performance live brute et mercuriale sur les scènes de Londres au Luxembourg, de Bristol à Bruxelles, de Kendal à Kusel.

En studio, ELLiS-D canalise l'énergie des multi-instrumentistes Ty Segall, Prince et Kevin Parker pour façonner un son qui lui est à la fois familier et totalement personnel, incarnant l'extravagance et la sensibilité glam-pop de Marc Bolan et des New York Dolls avec la sensibilité lyrique et l'intensité des Smiths et de Jehnny Beth, pour créer quelque chose de presque unique et contradictoire. Des riffs de guitares filandreux se frayent un chemin à travers des pulsations rythmiques inspirées de CAN, tandis que des répétitions enrobées d'hameçons et des acrobaties vocales explosives et abstraites se frayent un chemin dans des instrumentaux psychédéliques.

Après deux EP autoproduits enregistrés avec peu de moyens dans son mystérieux studio de Brighton (connu uniquement de ses habitants sous le nom de "The Carwash"), les cassettes se sont vendues en quantités limitées, Le single de février 2023 "Straitjacket Blues" a marqué un changement radical, ELLiS-D commençant à explorer de nouveaux territoires avec des teintes de new wave et de kraut rock infusé dans le disco, se frayant un chemin dans sa musique, obtenant un passage régulier à la radio par Tom Robinson sur BBC Radio 6, ainsi que des premières parties de Razorlight au Brighton Dome et au Hammersmith Apollo en avril 2023.

Best known as the manic drummer behind the garage-psych outfit Strange Cages, and more recently Jealous Nostril, ELLiS·D spent ten years flailing his limbs across the tattered kits of UK and Europe’s basement scene before starting out his solo project in 2021. After signing with DIY label Crafting Room Recordings at the turn of the 2022, the ensuing 15 months has seen him in a state of near consistent gigging and touring throughout the sweaty dives of the continent, bringing his raw, mercurial live performance to stages from London to Luxembourg, Bristol to Brussels, Kendal to Kusel.

Backed by a near-continuously shifting set of session musicians on his tours, in the studio ELLiS·D channels the workhorse-like energy of fellow multi-instrumentalists Ty Segall, Prince and Kevin Parker to mould a sound that at once feels familiar but also completely his own, embodying the extravagance and glam-pop sensibilities of the likes of Marc Bolan and New York Dolls with the lyrical sensitivity and intensity of The Smiths and Jehnny Beth, to create something almost uniquely contradictory. Jangly, threadbare guitar riffs weave their way through CAN inspired rhythmic pulses as hook-smeared repetitions and explosive, abstract vocal acrobatics flow and fight their way into psych-driven instrumentals.

After two self-produced EP’s recorded on a shoestring in his mysterious Brighton studio space (known only to its inhabitants as ‘The Carwash’) sold out separate limited cassette runs, February 2023 single ‘Straitjacket Blues’ signified a marked shift as ELLiS·D began exploring new territory with tinges of new wave and disco infused kraut rock weaving its way into his music, gaining consistent radio play from Tom Robinson at BBC Radio 6 alongside support slots for Razorlight at Brighton Dome and Hammersmith Apollo in April 2023.

Joanie a sorti son premier EP 'Neurotica' en mars dernier via Permanent Creeps. Neurotica" a été produit par une autre aventurière de la musique, Jessica Winter.
Jessica Winter. Il s'agit d'une pop élégante et influencée par le disco, intelligente et confiante, qui constitue une introduction parfaite à cette nouvelle artiste fascinante.
Joanie a reçu beaucoup d'attention de la part de médias tels que She Makes Music, DIY, Dazed & Confused, Wonderland, Paper, Magazine et Notion.

Le disque vous entraîne dans l'obscurité, captivant l'auditeur avec ses chants de sirène. Noyer les inondations et brûler lentement la terre avec une décadence
de décadence disco et d'accroches mélodiques, le tout ancré dans le charisme unique et envoûtant de Joanie. Le monde moderne peut sembler dystopique,mais Joanie vous invite à danser pour chasser la peur avec des paillettes et des excès, avec un EP produit par Jessica Winter. ⚡️KARAMEL CRAFT⚡️

Groupe signé sur le fameux label de Jarvis Cocker "French Fries"
Karamel Craft est né en avril 2021 de la passion commune de deux musiciens pour le Seattle Sound depuis leur adolescence.
Anthony Serina (Lyar, A Shape, Captain Fuzz, Nova Wild) à la batterie et au chant et Fanny Oudet, guitare et chant, ont mis en commun cette passion pour composer en l’espace de quatre mois neuf chansons originales qui font voyager au gré de leur univers West Coast des années 1990 (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Hole, Riot Grrrrl bands…), un rock lourd et nostalgique enrichi de leurs expériences musicales respectives.
Julien Gracia (Joypang, les Frères Bouchard) les a rejoint à la basse, enrichissant les créations du groupe de ses influences punk et de jazz manouche avec un son à la fois percutant et mélodique. Le résultat est un mélange détonnant qui rappelle des sonorités issues du passé mais qui demeurent obstinément contemporaines.
Leur premier album, au titre éponyme, est disponible depuis février 2022 notamment sur le site bandcamp (https://karamelcraft.bandcamp.com) et est disponible au format cd depuis septembre 2022.

Karamel Craft was born in April 2021 out of two musicians' shared passion for the Seattle Sound since they were teenagers.
Anthony Serina (Lyar, A Shape, Captain Fuzz, Nova Wild) on drums and vocals and Fanny Oudet, guitar and vocals, pooled their passion to compose nine original songs in the space of four months, taking listeners on a journey through their West Coast universe of the 1990s (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Hole, Riot Grrrrl bands...), a heavy, nostalgic rock enriched by their respective musical experiences.

Julien Gracia (Joypang, les Frères Bouchard) has joined them on bass, enriching the band's creations with his punk and gypsy jazz influences and a sound that's both percussive and melodic. The result is an explosive mix that recalls sounds from the past but remains stubbornly contemporary.

Their debut album, with the eponymous title, has been available since February 2022 on the bandcamp website (https://karamelcraft.bandcamp.com) and has been available in CD format since September 2022.
